An attractive model in an uncommon livery
I've been looking out for this model for some three years or so. They seem to be hard to find, so the opportunity to buy one was too good to pass by. The model is very nicely finished - painting and lettering are very well done; the complex, large lettering with its contrasting border and the smaller printing are sharp, clear and well defined and the various moulded components are nicely detailed. I don't know much, if anything about the Dominion petrol company itself; the brand was about in the 1930's and may have gone off the market in the 1940's. It is therefore unusual as a subject. Model manufacturers tend to choose familiar liveries for their stock, to enhance sales. This may possibly be why the model is rarer than, say 'Esso' or 'National Benzol' wagons as not many were produced. ... I've been looking out for this model for some three years or so.
