We've made our Terms and Conditions as easy and brief as possible as no one likes to read them, but by placing your order with 'us/we/our' (GIZMO-DEALS), you accept the following.
 
1. Prices
Our products and prices are subject to change. Promotional prices/offers only apply in the period stated for the promotion. Whilst we try to ensure that prices are accurate at all times, we are not responsible for errors that may occur. If we discover any errors in the price of goods before we accept your order, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to resubmit your order at the correct price or cancel.
 
2. Availability
All goods and services are subject to availability. Any product stock or availability information supplied is an estimate only. If on receipt of your order the goods are not available in stock we will notify you, and offer to refund you for any sum that has been paid by you, or allow you to wait until available in stock.
 
3. Delivery
Charges for delivery may not be included in the product price and will be provided on checkout (before you submit your card details). Every effort is made to ensure a prompt despatch of your order and delivery within the stated delivery days. However, we will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, we will inform you as soon as possible. It is your responsibility to check all items ordered are included within the delivered consignment. It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 7 days of delivery.
3.1 Delivery times. All UK orders are sent by either next day courier or 1st class (1-2 business days estimated). International orders are sent by Airmail (3 - 10 days estimated delivery).
 
4. Ordering
Any e-mail or other electronic acknowledgement by us of receipt of an order placed by you does not constitute legal acceptance by us of your order. All orders are subject to approval by us and your order is only accepted once we despatch. When processing your order, the information provided will be subject to credit and fraud prevention checks. Payment shall be due before the order is processed for despatch. Payment shall be a fundamental term of this agreement, breach of which shall entitle 'us' to terminate the contract immediately.
 
5. Returns and Refunds
 
5.1 Faulty Goods (within 6 months of despatch)
If your purchase develops a fault within 6 months of despatch, we will exchange, replace or refund the item. We will arrange for the item to be returned for testing, and then send you a new replacement straight away. Alternatively if proof can be provided by photographic or video evidence we can send a replacement without exchanging. This does not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse, for which there will be no exchange or repair.
 
5.2 Damaged Goods
In the unlikely event your order is received damaged please contact us immediately. Please retain the original packaging for returning your order. Contact us with your order number and with details of the problem. We will arrange to replace. It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 60 days of delivery.
 
5.3 Unwanted Goods (within 60 days of receipt)
We will accept the item back for a full refund up to 60 days after receipt without question. This refund does not extend to the original cost of delivery or return costs. The customer is responsible for the return of all goods. Your item will need to be inspected before reimbursement is made. To exercise your right to cancel, you must contact us prior to returning any goods.
 
5.3.1 Unwanted Goods (outside 60 days of receipt)
No goods are accepted outside of the 60 day returns policy.
 
6. Lost items
GIZMO-DEALS use mail services to despatch items to customers. UK items are sent via Royal Mail or courier, depending on order value. Foreign orders are sent Airmail. In the unlikely event that items do not arrive the buyer must allow 10 working days (UK) and 15 days (outside UK) to establish the item as lost. After that period has expired the buyer must contact GIZMO-DEALS.

The only Beware is to make sure that the device supplying the power is capable of delivering the current required for the HDD that has been inserted. Typical example - Toshiba IDE 60Gb HDD 0.7A.

    Nice lightweight IDE Hard Drive Enclosure

    Having recently upgraded two dell C series laptops, I was left with two vintage 20 Gb IDE hard drives dating from 2003. I decided to reuse them as storage drives and so purchased two IDE Hard Drive Case Enclosure Caddies from eBay seller LUPO-STORE. The caddies appear to be made from a ABS lightweight plastic and the two half’s clip together once the drive is installed, as opposed to most designs that use tiny screws that are difficult to find again if accidentally dropped. The finished assembly is quite light to carry around has a nice appearance to it. The only problem encountered was the vintage drives themselves. The power requirements for the drives are 0.7amp and 1.0amp respectively. The enclosures are supplied with a single connector USB power lead which when plugged into a USB ...

    Does the job just fine and got all my stuff saved that I thought I was going to lose.

    It does the job that it is intended for but at a much better price than others on ebay. My old hard drive was bit of a tight sqeeze to get into the enclosure but I'm happy enough.

    Simple to add your HDD and use.

    Set-up and use was just about as simple as it gets. The unit is powered from whatever it is connected to via the supplied USB cable. Do bear in mind that your device must be capable of supplying sufficient current to drive whatever you choose to install in the case. Typical example: Toshiba IDE 60GB HDD requires 0.7Amps. Connected to a windows PC the required drivers auto-installed in seconds and I was able to make use of 60Gb storage media from an obsolete PC. In my particular case I could have purchased 60Gb of micro USB storage for not much more than this unit cost. However, it's great if you hate waste. Fingers crossed, the circuit in the case works reliably for a reasonable number of years.

    Use that old HDD as extra external storage.

    I salvaged a 2.5" HDD from a laptop that I was selling. I removed the HDD for security of my data. The drive was still working so I looked around for a caddy to put it in, to create an external portable drive. This is just the job. The USB allows it to run off my current laptop or PC without the need for a power cable. The caddy is just large enough for the HDD, so in total, only a little larger than my mobile phone. It is easy to install the HDD in the caddy, and just plug in the USB and you are good to go. At a cost of just £5.99 (postage free) and very prompt delivery by Royal Mail with your daily post, what is not to like.
