As described... A+++ on shipping and price... C (and that's being generous) on time. If you have forever and a month of Sundays to wait around then by all means do so. The price was great and the seller communicated wonderfully and the item was packed well so it wasn't damaged during transit all A pluses in my book just took a little bit longer than I anticipated.

I received my first copy of this cookbook in 1974 in Home Economics class. Since then I have always had two copies; one I use and one "in reserve". It is the perfect cookbook for new cooks who want to know how (for example) to make bread. There are pictures to accompany the recipes and answers if things don't turn out (which will be a rare event) as if you follow the recipe it WILL turn out right always. It is a cook book from Canada and has distinctly Canadian recipes in it; but there are plenty of recipes for every individual. Five Roses (in Canada) also produces great flour. I have found the flour in Kentucky in a Mediterranean food market. It is worth looking for no matter where you live. There are recipes for preserves and canning ~ which is a dying Art in these times of rush; but if ...

  • The five roses cook book is wonderful.

The cook book is wonderful. The cook book has great recipes in it. The five roses cook book has a great recipe for hot chocolate and marmalade jam. The cook book has pictures of meats in it. The cook book is brand new and I just love the book. The people that gave me the book that gave it to me thank you.

  • Not a busy cover...to the point using flour. I really like that it's just red and white.

Great basic not fancy cookbook. Easy to read and a lot of great tips on baking.

I have hunting for this cookbook for a while. It's not the one I remember from childhood but it has a lot of the recipes I was hoping to find.
