About this product

Product Information

NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER A thrilling tale of betrayal and revenge set against the nineteenth-century American frontier, Michael Punke's The Revenant is the astonishing story of real-life trapper and frontiersman Hugh Glass. The year is 1823, and the trappers of the Rocky Mountain Fur Company live a brutal frontier life. Hugh Glass is among the company's finest men, an experienced frontiersman and an expert tracker. But when a scouting mission puts him face-to-face with a grizzly bear, he is viciously mauled and not expected to survive. Two company men are dispatched to stay behind and tend to Glass before he dies. When the men abandon him instead, Glass is driven to survive by one desire: revenge. With shocking grit and determination, Glass sets out, crawling at first, across hundreds of miles of uncharted American frontier. Based on a true story, The Revenant is a remarkable tale of obsession, the human will stretched to its limits, and the lengths that one man will go to for retribution.

Super impressed with this seller! They had the best price by far for this book! Both the cost of the book and the shipping fee was far better than average! The book came exactly as described, it was well packaged and quite a bit earlier than expected! The seller was polite and replied quickly to my messages. I’ll definitely make another purchase soon! Thank you to the seller! Be safe and keep up the great work!

WONDERFUL book! Better than described, in just like new condition [not just good]. Packaged very carefully, shipped very securely. Great seller, would buy from again in a heartbeat! No communication occurred, but I imagine it would have been as good as the rest of their customer service. Very happy with purchase, thank you very much!

Fast paced and well written novel.

I enjoyed The Revenant very much. It was very well written and the author has the ability to make you feel like you are with Hugh Glass on his adventures, lots of interesting history too..

  • Hopefully you didn't watch the movie 1st!

This book is fantastic, I made the mistake of watching the movie first but even if you did, not a problem. This is because the book, of course, doesn't follow the movie accurately, which is great because you are able to get backgrounds of each character in the book. I have purposely lagged on finishing this book since I am aware of what the ending is and I am not eager to let go of this book so fast. It is an easy read that could be done in a day or two but I have let the suspense of the book to last me a lot longer. I was not familiar with this author until now but I will be searching for a new piece by him afterwards. You should not be disappointed with this book you are about to experience.

  • Good Writing

I was surprised that the author held my attention with some creative writing and good description of some difficult to deal with situations. Gives what I believe to be an accurate description of that time, those people and a uniquely American drama. Wish I could tell a story like that--
