  • A chance to get to know him.

Most of us never "really" get to know the author of a book we read. This book allows that, but in a unique way. I picked this up after reading "The Importance of Being Earnest." Reading letters or correspondence between two people often reveal very little, as we don't know the context, as we're looking from the inside out. This book slices through that, as this book has so many letters to so many different people, painting a picture of the writer in a way that other books (and publishers) have missed.. So, in my ending, it tells a story of a troubled man, neglected by society, left as nothing, due to societies' will and naivety at the time. Reading through this book, it will make you wish you knew the man. Enjoy it, whether you agree with the entirety of it's contents or not.
