    Backhouse and Walker. They helped change the world. A Great and uplifting read.

    Well written and easy reading to boot, which is a rare mix. It gives invaluable insight into the work of Backhouse and Walker that formed a significant part of one of the pivotal movements of the nineteenth century; the anti-slavery movement, the quest for penal reform and the push for universal education. These movements changed the world for the better and Backhouse and Walker played a significant part in it
