    A good tool and good value!

    It is a well known Brand and is far superior to many of the other reciprocating saws, which are perhaps a few pounds cheaper. Comfortable rubber grip and easy blade change. I extended the warranty on-line for a total of three years, free.

    Easy to use saw

    Good quality as you’d expect from Makita. It feels robust but not too heavy. I’ve used it while up a 12 foot ladder and it was easy to handle. It’s basic as it’s the MT series but that’s all I need for occasional use. Doesn’t have a carry case but I’ll get over that.

    Good saw for the money for weekly use.

    Generally a good saw for the money but don’t expect anything from the free blades as they are made of chocolate. My only concern is the blade holder as it’s possibly a bit fragile but time will tell. Another point on the holder is that it often ends up in rather than out when I want to change blades and you can’t twist it when the arm is in so you press the trigger a couple of times to get it to stop in the out position to enable blade change. A mild annoyance but for the money (having had a couple of reciprocators over the years) I find this a good saw for the price for general use a few times a week.

    Makita M4501 MT Reciprocating Saw

    I buy Makita or DeWalt and generally the more expensive versions. I took what I considered a risk on buying the more economic version of Makita's reciprocating saw. This is a solid and well made tool. I've used it in the garden and it's been awesome. Note is does not come with a carry box and you get two different blades.

    Effective and effortless

    Best purchase made, it’s an amazing product and the price is unbelievable. I had my reservations but with a brand like Makita felt that it should be alright when I made my purchase.
