Definitely as described, lovely and soft and warm. Would keep you warm on the coldest nights. My only problem with it is that it could do with press studs instead of buttons to fasten it. The button holes are rather larger than the buttons and the material is slippery, moving about when sleeping means the cover rides up and the quilt spills out of the bottom. This is frustrating as I have caught my foot in it more than once.
