OK, so feather duvets are going to lose some feathers this one doesnt shed many at all, and feather duvets also always have a couple of quills poking through, however they should also have a protective cover put on them before a duvet goes on. As long as that protector is 200 thread Count + cotton there's no feather loss or pokey quills, makes the duvet thick and lofty too. I got a cotton protector for around 15.00. Can't complain really.
