Great biography well written by a man who was there at the golden era of Hollywood.He knew everyone that mattered from Directors to Actors .He happened to be at the right place at the right time.I can see why this book is still popular today.I highly recommend it.

A lockdown treasure. I am reading more and this book was read in quick time. As a fan of the authors work a look behind the scenes was compelling. I have now moved on to Bring on the Empty Horses.

I'd recommend this book to old and young it's just so well written with a bit in it for everyone. It just shows you a life from the army to Hollywood and back again, it will leave you with a smile on your face from one great actor who mixed with all the big names in Hollywood.
