Synopsis
This reference guide to the life and work of the prolific British composer, Cyril Scott, includes a brief biography and detailed bibliography and discography sections. Sometimes referred to as the British Debussy, Scott was one of the first English composers to incorporate a noticeable modern style. He composed in virtually every genre and for every instrument and ensemble. His works, as detailed in the discography, include three operas, two symphonies, five concertos, chamber music, piano music, and over 100 songs.
