    Good item as described and looks like it will do the job. Haven't used it yet but should be very useful for checking the contents of several old HDDs (and properly clearing the data before disposal). I have a PSU complete with cables & plugs from an old PC, so should be able to use the converter with 3.5in drives.

    Adapter works but had to add additional power cable to run 3.5. Can’t connect sata drive as it’s a different connection to the hard drive. Power cable also required.
