  • Lifestyle Illustrations of the 50s review

This book provides a multitude of excellent examples of illustrations from the 1950s. In contrast to the slick photography of today, it is nice to look back on the abundant talent that brought art to the pages of periodicals for the masses. The work in this book exemplifies the technical skill that used to be required to communicate visual imagery, before the print world became dominated by photoshop manipulation. I highly recommend this work to anyone who has an interest in illustration.
