Amazing loft ladder.
I didn't think any loft ladder would fit into the small ceiling hatch, and avoid clashing with the wooden roof truss above. However, this ladder does so with ease, especially as the hatch opening width is just 510mm, and length of 700mm is partially blocked when the 100mm thick loft hatch cover is hanging down. I did have to reverse the loft hatch, as the ladder does extend past the hatch when stored by 250mm approx, which would have clashed with a truss post, but that was easily done. One tip is to ensure the sprung ladder carriage assembly can hang vertically when deployed, my first attempt didn't quite achieve this as the loft hatch cover was in the way, which made deployment difficult. Installation instructions supplied could be a little clearer, but after some deliberation all became ... Installed in a morning replacing a ladder which failed at the bracket. My loft has little clearance above the hatch & this ladder fitted the space perfectly. Although there are cheaper ladders out there, this being by Youngman, it's design & build quality is worth the expense.
