    Pretty and pretty solid set

    Lego and Harry Potter, pretty much epic. That being said, many of the recent sets from Lego have been rather lacking. They get a facade, maybe a rough moment in a movie or show, and ramp up the price. The Harry Potter sets were not immune to this. However, Hodsmeade Village is a lovely exception. Not only does the set feature cheerfully decorative additions, but it fits with the olde-world theme that much of the architecture of the series promotes. Add in the holiday theme and you get a clever little set with more than just a printed nod towards what is presented. Granted, it does not have full buildings... those are the things of the 80s and 90s, but it has more than just a plywood front that other sets have become recently.
