Jennifer Corvino (Connelly) is attending a Swiss boarding school for girls when she discovers she is able to communicate telepathically with insects. When a serial killer begins murdering students, bug specialist Dr. McGregor (Pleasance) must help her use her powers to find the killer. With a soundtrack featuring Motorhead and Iron Maiden making the experience ever more disorienting, you won't know where Argento is taking you next. CREEPERS DVD 110 mins??
Really bare bones DVD of Creepers with no extras whatsoever, with a grainy picture throughout. This is also a rated R version of this film. That said, this movie is still excellent in every way despite this no-frills Legacy DVD release. A young girl, (Jennifer Connelly) who sleepwalks and can somehow psychically control bugs, stumbles while sleepwalking into a murder scene during the crime. She and a crippled bug expert (Donald Pleasance) team up to try to solve the murders before too many more people are murdered. Sounds like a strange premise, but it actually works pretty well if you follow it. Decent acting and great directing from Dario Argento help keep you interested in what is one of Argento's best murder mysteries. This movie was originally titled Phenomena and ... Get Phenomena if you can, but if not Creepers is a worthy and affordable substitute in the meantime for Argento fans.

Well first of all, Let me just say that I am a HUGE Dario Argento Fan! So my review may be a bit bias, Im the first to admit that. Although, I dont think that this is his best (His best in my opinion being Suspiria). I did of course appreciate the music, as always, Iron maiden, Motorhead, and of course Goblin were the main contributers to the score. And man, does Dario Argento have an eye for beauty! Ive always noticed that about his films. Even before having seen this one. Which stars one of thee most beatiful women ever, that being Jennifer Connely of course. Oh and did I mention horror veteran Donald Pleasence plays her mentor in the film? AND there's a monkey with a knife! Tell me you've never wanted to see a monkey with a knife? Creepers.
I love Creepers, but I didn't like the quality of the picture. This distributor left the quality of the picture pretty much original. There has to be a company that remastered the picture.
