It's a rubbish film, very poorly made and a sad reflection of a great story
I bought this DVD because I love war films especially if they are based on a true story. This storyline had not been covered before and it's a real shame that it was told in such a cheap way. There must have been at least ....... 15 actors in this film. I was expecting a film of the Saving Private Ryan or at least Band of Brothers sort of level of excellence but this didn't come anywhere near them. Very Poor In comparison to those great films this was a very poor shadow of what could have been a great film.I bought this DVD because I love war films especially if they are based on a true story. Rubbish Film
This film is utter twaddke - an American total fairy-tale. And they stole the 'Pathfinders' title from RAF 633 Squadron...who actually WERE 3nd World War heroes.

Poor resulting film, The Pathfinders need a better memorial
I had read several external reviews, I didn't belive them, boy what a mistake. The story of the pathfinders is amazing, the film however trivalises the whole issue. The cinematography is poor, trying to copy Speilberg, and failing, using hand held cameras, badly and using too many close-ups, like a cheap soap opera. It is shot in a very dark environment with few reference points which makes it dificult to follow the action or the characters. I know the real events took place in the dark but the Longest Day did a better job with the Airborne action. Worth Watching !
This film is not as bad as the reviews I have read make out. There is some good action and characters in this film are memorable. I guess the budget was pretty low however.
