    Christmas magic

    This holiday CD corroborates Esquivel was a very talented musician/composer/arranger, quite ahead of his time. He used various instrumental and vocal techniques to bring an enchanted collection of Christmas tunes. For those who've watched the old Rankin and Bass animagic holiday TV specials, this CD will evoke the same wonder of the season, but in a jazzy style. I know you'll find something to like in all of the tracks. So start a cozy fire, enjoy some mulled cider/wine, turn on the CD and Happy Holidays!

    If you enjoy lounge compilations then this one is a must for your collection. Great Christmas set for holiday entertaining. Heard a couple years ago and find out it's out of print but eBay saved the day and worth every penny! Best way to described this cd, the Jetson. Enjoy!!!

    Definitely a must have with all his "lounge hits"

    Juan García Esquivel (January 20, 1918 – January 3, 2002) often simply known as Esquivel!, was a Mexican band leader, pianist, and composer for television and films. He was quite ahead of his time. Esquivel is considered the king of a style of late 1950s-early 1960s quirky instrumental pop known today as Lounge music. (from Wikipedia) Merry Christmas from the Space-Age Bachelor Pad by Esquivel versions of Christmas classics bring a new fresh, somewhat campy, spirit to old standards. Definitely a must have along with all his other "lounge" recordings!!!!!

    exactly what youd expect of an esquivel xmas.

    these christmas hits are about as close as you can get to esquivel composed pieces without actually being that. creative and fun christmas remakes fill the album... it's a breath of fresh air from the thousands of other garbage holiday albums out there.
