Masters of clarity and integration - speakers that really sparkle and sing!
Superb clarity and integration of the mid-range with the treble, even in a confined space on a shelf in a small room. Bass clear and un-muddled even in the same confined position. Butquite apart from their well- balanced tonality, these speakers really sing and sparkles with definition and depth I've not heard from any other small speakers. My only comment regarding overall performance, is they need a good amp to drive them, despite being rated at 6 ohms...30 - 50 w rms upwards at least, also don't use inferior components - amps, tuners , CD player wahtever - these speakers will reveal all the warts.. Fab - very musical little boxes that keep on giving!
Classy speakers, rich and involving sound, bass is a little boomy they need to be placed away from the wall. Also need quite a powerful punchy warm sounding amp to perform at their best. Get a lot better once run in and start to open up. Particularly have a sweet spot in the low trebles so sound fantastic on solo guitars/guitar intros but they will also pick out fast drum beats. Another strength is that the tweeter and woofer are incredibly well integrated so sound very natural. Well recommended, they blow away my b&w 607 in certain areas. A proper grown up loudspeaker for smaller rooms (although they do kick out the sound). Performance way beyond my expectations.
I have paired them with an old nad amp. The clarity, imaging and sound stage with the emit m10’s is breathtaking. I considered many options including powered speakers. I would have to have spent double the price to get the same quality. For the price there was nothing that came anywhere close. I am a classically trained musician and so have high expectations. I use them near field on my desk. Massive overkill I suppose. They excel even at low volume levels. I can enjoy my music without the risk of upsetting my spouse.
