A discussion of the design philosophy of the period accompanies how-to chapters, and photographs of contemporary Greene-inspired furniture provide ideas for projects. Biographical sketches are included for Charles and Henry Greene, Peter and John Hall (who built most of the furniture), and competing furniture maker Gustav Stickley.

    Great Greene and Greene Referance book

    If you are contemplating building any Greene & Greene pieces or designing one that is influenced by G&G you really need to have this book at hand. A better book for a hobby or professional furniture builder can't be found.

    Awsome ideas for the furniture builder

    This is one of my favorite books, I love the style of furniture they built back in there day. I've been copying there style into the furniture I build for my home and family. This is a must own book if you have great taste in furniture design and are a do-it-yourselfer. Many drawings and step by step photos that explain everything/

    This is an excellant book for the woodworkers. Good details and templets for routers. I am partial because I supplied the information about my Hall family. Darrell is an excellent craftsman and attention to detail as you will see in the book.
