Good choice to buy Shimano SPD cleats
Can't beat the original Shimano parts. Saving a couple of quid on cheaper alternatives is a false economy. I've tried, and found the cheaper bits wear out quicker and don't engage / disengage as well on the pedals. Recommended purchase of the original SPD cleats for anyone looking to replace worn out cleats.

Safer than normal. Will release from pretty much any angle when you want but I have never had an accidental release yet - even at well over 500 watts in a sprint
