El método consta de más de veinte volúmenes con soporte de audio correspondientes a los niveles Principiante, Elemental, Intermedio, Avanzado y Profesional ordenados progresivamente. Cada volumen incluye el estudio de la técnica y del lenguaje musical de una obra de repertorio, abarcando casi todos los estilos de música: clásica, moderna, clásica española, zarzuela, canciones populares, flamenco, jazz, tango, etc. Se intercala teoría y práctica y se complementa con consejos de estudio, imágenes e información sobre la historia de las castañuelas, compositores, características de la obra, intérpretes, cuestiones culturales o anécdotas pertinentes al instrumento. Los colores utilizados en el libro de estudio nos ayudan a diferenciar los distintos apartados de cada unidad resaltando los cuadros donde se destacan conceptos o consejos claves. El audio contiene la música sola, las castañuelas solas y la música con castañuelas de la obra de repertorio contenida en el volumen. Se trabaja la obra a la velocidad original, pues la elección de cada partitura está pensada para poder ser ejecutada en su nivel de dificultad, sin necesidad de reducir la velocidad lo que rompería el carácter musical de la obra. Se ha incluido en las partituras el minutaje de la música cada ciertos compases para facilitar el estudio y poder repetir ciertos fragmentos. El estudio puede complementarse con clases presenciales u online impartidas por la propia Teresa Laiz a través de video conferencia (www.teresalaiz.com).Teresa Laiz es bailarina, profesora, compositora y reconocida concertista de castañuelas. Es la directora del Festival Internacional de Castañuelas desde que lo fundara en 2009. Comenzó a tocar las castañuelas hace treinta años por su formación en danza española. Actualmente, su carrera como solista de castañuelas se centra en la composición de partituras para castañuelas, en impartir cursos y master class y ofrecer conciertos, donde se destaca la pasión y el virtuosismo.
