    Photography in the Third Dimension!

    Stereo 3D photography was something of a 'craze' as early as the mid-19th century; enjoying a five-year resurgence in the early 1950s and again more recently with the vogue for 3D TV and games hardware. It was within this latter context that Fujifilm introduced their "REAL" 3D cameras, firstly the W1, then this improved version, the W3, in 2010, adding 3D movie capability. Having two lenses instead of one, the Fujifilm REAL 3D camera 'sees' the world in stereo as we do; i.e. not only in terms of height and width, but also with depth. This extra dimension brings a quality of realism and immersion that makes one feel "in" the photo, rather than just looking "at" it. Photographs taken can be displayed immediately on the camera's own lenticular 3D viewing screen, then printed out or shown ...

    Great 3d camera can't stop using it.

    Love this camera as it opens a whole new way of seeing every day situations which you seem to miss with a 2d image, I use this camera more than my others now, and am very happy with with its performance. Make sure you keep your fingers away from the front lenses as it is very easy to obstruct the scene in front of you. The battery life is not brilliant, but will last to get all those super 3d images on a decent size memory card. Movies are better quality than expected as well. All in all a great camera.

    3D focus.

    The camera works very much as other Fuji compact cameras. 3D is memory card hungry so get massive fast SD and extra batteries for long days out. Sound is noisy so I use a portable Tascam for synchronized audio. Lights camera sound lapper board ... Action. Good let's go. Bye
