Gone the Way of Many a Sony.
Had the expected image sensor failure, so there is no image. The accessories are all good, though. Sony were forced to offer a free out of warranty repair, under the sale of goods act, but now more than 6 years have gone by, they no longer offer this. You had to have the original receipt to prove purchase to Sony, or they wouldn't help you. Canon, on the other hand, would do the repair for the same problem, simply on the faulty camera being sent to them, no questions asked. Samsung refused to admit that the problem ever existed!
