The Most Definitive Account of One of the Most Important Events of WWll
This superbly researched book sets out the background, local and strategic, leading up to the Siege of Malta. It goes on to tell of the tactics employed in defending the island and, most importantly, the human issues involved. As one who served on the island in the 1950s and actually flew from Ta'Qali during that time, I am still a frequent visitor. Although much has changed since mdi-1954, the place and its people remain justly proud of their GC heritage. I tend to read James Hollands superb story about once every year and never tire of the vivid picture his words paint.This superbly researched book sets out the background, local and strategic, leading up to the Siege of Malta.
