    A Revelation!

    A truly marvelous film, based on the novel of the same name. Stephen Chbosky's "Perks" is a revelation of good storytelling; heartfelt and true, sporting top-notch acting -- primarily from leads Logan Lerman, Emma Watson and Ezra Miller. This is a film to own, watch, watch again and to treasure. It is a coming-of-age tale, sure...but a film for anyone with a nimble mind and an open heart. 5-stars out of a possible five, truly.

    Not what I expected but still a good watch!

    Misfit boy that is quiet, yet longs for friends in his new school. Eventually he winds up finding a group that is mixed with very different, bold, artsy personalities. He finally feels he belongs after being a loner after losing his one best friend to suicide. This movie: It deals with depression and the truth about mental illness. The new group of kids that accepts him appears to have it together, for him only to find out they themselves have their own issues. The story line shows a wide variety of today’s issues teens endure. One friend is a gay guy that falls in love with boy that is popular, yet acts straight for the approval of his father. The other is a girl wild, but sophisticated while dealing with low self esteem and a past known for being promiscuous. They appear to care less ...

    Very influential coming of age story!

    One of my favorite movies ever! The packaging was a little odd to me. It arrived in a large bubble mailer, but the case was open and sent out flat. Which I felt made the dvd itself vulnerable. But it plays and wasnt scratched or broken.

    Should watch it.Recommended

    This movie is about an introvert/nerd was a confidant of 2 extrovert friends. The beginning of the story is quite boring, but everything changed(climax) when the introvert guy(Logan Lerman) told her friend (Emma Watson) that his best friend and the only friend of him has passed away. With compassion, Emma whisper to Ezra Miller about the situation while there were at the party. Without second thought Ezra Miller welcoming and introducing Logan to all his friend by toasting. I think this has changed the life of an introvert.In real life we should have more extrovert friend that can understand how we felt.We should also know how to appreacite and keep best friend around us.Friends that can hold hand by hand when in need.This movie is really touching my heart, as myself as an introvert.
