Features Acotrs:Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio,Frances Fisher,Billy Zane,Kathy Bates, Jonathan Hyde,Victor Garber Running Time:194 Min. Rating:PG-13 This movie is about a romance between two young people from different backgrounds. In Rose (Kate Winslet, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio, The Aviator), you had a romance that women could identify with, as there are obstacles thrown up to prevent true love for the couple. The most notable obstacle being class, as the early part of the century featured groups that were very structured by how much they made and what their standing in life was. In Rose's life, her mother Ruth (Frances Fisher, House of Sand and Fog) plays a huge part in it, and has virtually arranged a marriage to Cal (Billy Zane, The Phantom) that will put both women in the lap of luxury. Jack just has his sketch pad, and lives the bohemian lifestyle, enjoying every minute of it. Then the ship hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic, sinking the unsinkable ship, resulting in a massive loss of life. And Cameron's depiction of the events that led to the final hours is both vivid and unsettling. The thing that stays in someone's mind is that when compared to the real-world events. It focuses more on a romance that may work on the screen, but the written word is as wooden as the life boats on the ship. This is a must see movie, not only a part of history but also takes you back in time, and shows you how different things used to be.A great love story filled with laughter & tears!Would recommend to rent or buy!Hope this helps you decide. Thanks for reading! :)Read full review
When I heard the news that see this film , I was filled with expectation. Because I really want to see this movie has in the past. Thanks to General, I was able to watch movies comfortably. And the movie was fantastic that I expected. Titanic, the ship seems to be bigger than I expected. The overwhelming size I could not take my eyes off from the movie. Rose, the heroine, has her fiance, but fell in love with Jack. Unfortunately, the Titanic was sunk by an iceberg. Collision with the iceberg was larger than expected damage. The passengers fell into a panic The crew hurried to prepare escape. Rose was a boat ride on the first , because she is a women. But Rose had to get off the boat and That chose to ride with him. Cal tried to kill Jack and Rose , but falied. The Titanic sank more and more, and the ship was broken. Passengers on the boat into the sea or injured. Drowning in a sea passengers quivered in the cold. Jack and Rose jumped into the sea from the ship last. The last scene in the sea was very fantastic that I was very touched. Jack died, but rose was living without forgetting. Rose looked at the lifeboat to Cal, she ignored the Cal. Since then, Rose had not seen Cal and she grew old. Finally, Rose recalls the past and the movie ended in our touching. Writing the report , I can't forget to Titanic because the movie was very nice. Titanic in the class could see it was fortunate for me. And the Titanic gaRead full review
Amazing movie, is all I can say. It's so touching, and I gawk at anyone who either hasn't watched it, or say they don't care for it. The characters, which are lovable and unforgettable, really make the movie. Don't feel surprised if your heart goes out to Rose, or you find yourself misty-eyed near the end. Trust me, I cry every time I watch it. Titanic would be a great movie for maybe a night where your girlfriend comes over, and you guys want a powerful movie to talk about. Kate Winslet did a smashing job as the heroine, by the way. The music throughout the movie is beautiful, and the effects are like the icing on the cake. Your heart will go out to the beautiful love story in Titanic, and it might inspire you to read up on the tragedy of 1912. I reccommend Titanic whole-heartedly.
Who can't help, but feel for the passengers of the ill fated Titanic..I was told of a Passenger who found out the Titanic was going down he returned to the room he shared with his Wife and little Girl ordered them to "lay down on their beds and prepare to drown", the Wife waited for him to leave the room she grabbed her Child and ran to a lifeboat..he perished in the disaster! sadly more people died then was saved due to negligence on everyones part..20 boats in the area and only 1 or 2 responded..people died from exposure in the icey water waiting for help while the boats circled around them, warnings were ignored..not enough lifeboats for all the passengers.."they didn't want to clutter up the decks" this story is however about the love affair between Rose and Jack..she a poor Girl pretending to be rich engaged to a future heir to a fortune who she does not love and is being forced to marry by her Mother..Jack a poor American trying to return home..this movie has its funny moments and its sad moments..in all this movie is worth the nearly 4 hours it takes to watch it..have your hanky ready!Read full review
