    A helpful way to learn the language

    I've used Living Language twice already--to learn Italian and French, and now Spanish. It provides a very good platform on which to build, and the combination of being able to hear the dialogs, phrases, and words is essential unless you really want to sound like a foreigner trying desperately to use the language. Admittedly that's less of a problem for Spanish than for Italian or French, as Spanish pronunciation is more straightforward. You just have to remember when dealing with any materials designed to help learn a language--you have to stick with it, set time aside on a regular basis (daily if possible), and you have to give yourself extra time to work on memorization of words or (better!) phrases.

    The first disc was fine. Disc two left off toward the end of lesson nine. Disc three picked up at the end of lesson nine but did not finish it. Instead it skipped to the middle of lesson ten. It is impossible to learn ANY language like this.

    Excellent language learning program

    I'm only halfway through the beginner (essential) CD and am very happy with this program. From the beginning you start learning words and sentences, both formal and informal, male and female. I use it in my computer with headphones and follow along with the book. It has reviews, quizzes and seems to be a very thorough program. You also have access to free online tools such as flash cards, interactive games and quizzes for each lesson. I have also played the CD's through my stereo system. I think that for the price, you get an extraordinary amount of learning information and help and is an extraordinary value. I'm very happy I bought this program and look forward to making it through to the advanced course! I don't think you can find a better program!

    It's a prooved qnd efficient Spanish learning method. Its three parts (essential, intermediate and advanced) books and cd's will guide you to an good fluency. It's thought-out for self learning but, as with any other serious method, a tutor will be a ery helpful.     Very good supplement

    I wouldn't depend on it for immediately learning the basics as it throws some stuff at you and then later explains it or part of it; but, as a supplement, it is very good. It's a good starter method regardless. I use several different platforms for learning Spanish. I do like the books - those are very helpful for reading when you don't or can't use a computer.
