    A decent lens for astrophotography

    Camera Sony a6300. Ok, so I have used this lens for both astrophotography and general landscape. For general daytime landscape and situations where I need a wide angle for a stationary subject, it actually works well. The images are sharp and as long as I focus with color assistance to ensure I am focused in properly. The astrophotography is not quite as sharp. I get a lot of distortion in the corners, but I think this is less about the lens and more about the longer shutter time. At F2, I am getting good results with Milky Way photography...just have to spend some time with editing the corners. For the price, I am happy to have purchased, but hope that Sony produces a low cost e-mount to fit this niche soon.

    Amazing!!

    This is a great companion my SONY α6000. The compact body of the camera is generously complimented by the compact size of this lens! The wide field of view qualifies for Real Estate photography, and makes for exceptional landscape photography as well! It is sharp enough for the images to be cropped to the preferred perspective, and still have outstanding image quality. I'm extremely satisfied with this lens and it will definitely boost my portfolio.

    Meeting Expectation

    This lens is small and light weight but very capable. The f2 max. aperture brings new perspective for low light wide angle photography. It is also very sharp with very good contrast.
