I advise you to put some masking tape, or something similar, on the inside of the claw fingers to try to prevent this. The proximity of the bonnet prevented me from using the tool on the left arm, as it was too tall. In the end I was able to easily and quickly remove the arm by positioning an adjustable wrench on the top of the screw post and underneath the arm, then pulling upwards.
