Omega V Rolex
I was a long term (19 years) Rolex guy. The price of Rolex watches over the last few years has dropped, less people even wear a watch yet they still churn out thousands of new ones every year. The result is the used market has plummeted.
Hans Waldorf and Alfred Davies were awesome at marketing the Rolex brand. (The original owners) Rolex is a good watch but by no means is it better than the Omega.
I bought this mid-size (I have a small wrist) Seamster Professional. You can pick one up for under $1500, it is attractive, keeps perfect time and easy to read. I wear this in the sea, the pool and even with a Tux on if you go out, you can wear it for any occasion, it does not look too grand but subtle enough to look impressive.
Its easy to adjust, the quartz model was my choice because I wanted perfection. No rolex keeps perfect time over a month. This does and if I don't wear it for a day don;t have to worry about it stopping or having to get an automatic winder.
