Product Information

A lone space marine must battle an onslaught of demonic creatures in this 32X version of the computer classic, Doom. Use your fists or equip one of six weapons, from a pistol and shotgun to a chainsaw and rocket launcher, to battle groups of imps, zombies, and other hell spawn. Ride elevators, throw switches, and collect keycards to advance through 17 levels, adapted from the computer game's first two episodes. Unlike the 1993 original, Doom for 32X lacks a save feature and multiplayer functionality. The BFG weapon is also not found within the main game, but it is accessible after entering in a cheat code.

    one if the small plates chipped in shipping. seller said to deal with post office on that - shich i don't have time for. seller shipped in a priority box with a ground shipping label. i had to pay extra shipping ($16.30) - but seller did refund for the extra postage. All issues were simple mistakes but chipped palte was aggrivating. packaging should have been bette as plates were touching and caused the chipped plate. a little dissabointed - but would not hesitate to buy from them again.

    Cutdown Version Of DOOM

    Not as good as the PC version but not a total loss. This game was rushed so it could be released with the 32x and it really shows. The game has been cut down to play in a small window. The game might have been able to do full screen with enough time. The main thing they left out was sound. The sounds are very low resolution and the music is even worse. The controls are sloppy. For instance circle strafe uses the same button to open doors and interact with objects, you just hold it down longer. If you open a door and hold down the button a split second too long, around you go. For all it's faults it's still Doom, you just have to pretend your on a very old dos machine with a crappy midi port game pad.

    Fans of the game will live the 32x version. Next to PC, this is the best version of the game. It's a classic and looks great on the Sega 32x
