Synopsis
Considered by many as the country's most dynamic, fastest growing and sexiest city, Miami is more popular than ever before. Yet, it is a city that doesn't merely change but evolves, never rewriting the past, just adding to its illustrious heritage. And this is the real beauty of Miami. The chic Surf Club and the vibrant Faena Hotel did not replace the emblematic Raleigh of the 1940s nor the Ritz Carlton of the 50s, rather they complement them. Classics like Joe's Stone Crab continue to serve their signature fare to sell-out crowds each night, as new establishments attract with name chefs. The iconic art deco architecture remains on full display as the modern Herzog and de Meuron-designed Perez Art Museum stands in stark contrast. Replete with arts and culture year round from the international art at The Bass to the street art of Wynwood Walls, each December, the city is taken over by the global cultural elite for Art Basel Miami, a fair that attracts over 80,000 visitors who turn out for the momentous art, such as Maurizio Cattelan's show stopping "Comedian", and the exuberant festivities hosted each evening.Well-known for its nightlife, pleasure is a focal point of Miami life at all times of day. Yachts and recreational boats line its marinas, lively beaches offer front row seats to a parade of bronzed revelers, and bladers and bikers coast along its beach front promenades. Miami has become the hub for everything chic, fiery and colorful. Miami Beach takes the readers on a tour of this bold and wonderous metropolis., Considered by many as the country's most dynamic, fastest growing and sexiest city, Miami is more popular than ever before. - r***a (6)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseMy package was intentionally damaged by someone during transit, through no fault of the seller. The package was good and sufficient to protect it, but as mentioned, someone decided to damage it with a knife. Upon contact, the seller has been reactive very helpful to try and find a solution, which was ultimately reached through eBay customers service. It was clear that the book sold was in the state described on the page prior to being sent, so 10/10 would buy again with them.Ezra Pound: Poems & Translations (LOA #144) (Library of America), Ezra Pound, Ve (#365351131012)
- 8***- (81)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseEverything was ok. Fast shipping. Well packaged. Good communication with the seller. Book is just as described. The photos in the ad are of the Book itself! I loved this Book!! :) It is part of the history of the Microsoft, Z80 Microprocessor and Apple old computer!! The Book is very rare and is very well preserved! My collection is cooler now! :) I recommend the seller to everyone! I'm very satisfied! Thanks!
- k***0 (98)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseItem as described. Packaging could have been better. It was shipped in a USPS booklet bag with no additional bubble wrap or cardboard protection. Slip Cover was dinged pretty good and will need replacement. After ordering a replacement slip cover from LOA - it ends up only about $4 cheaper than buying new from LOA. All in all - not a great value.Ralph Waldo Emerson Collected Poems & Translations (LOA #70) (#365414451321)
