    I Like Alien Covenant!

    You know it's easy to pretend to be superior and hate something that's genre fun! But I'll tell you flat out I enjoyed Alien Covenant! I like that it was a sort of duel between the androids and that we were dealing generationally with a long running situation. That gave me a segue into the story so I could make it mine! It was great to see some things coming and it was fun to share some surprises. Add to that likable characters, realistic setting and people who simply would not listened when you tried to warn them not to do something! - Haa! - Way Fun! Specially when watched with some of your mates! ~;0) VivaChas!

    Boring .In the original Alien, when the first alien comes out of John Hurt's body, it came as a shock. The Covenant movie repeated this schene several times, which got to be boring.

    Interesting way to continue the original concepts seen in ALIEN, the original.

    The special effects are great, the characters are interesting, and the movie makers made interesting use of the original concepts, such as the bio-mechanics of the late H.R. Giger. This newest of the ALIEN series is disturbing in its violence and bloodshed, the Alien creatures are a lot more deadly and vicious, and seem almost like demons rather than alien life forms. The homosexual content would have been better left on the cutting room floor. Overall, the movie is worthy of my ALIEN library of movies, unlike ALIEN REQUIEM, which is filled with horrible profanity and vulgarity, needlessly.

    The movie looks visually stunning, but it is not one of the best in the franchise, that's for sure. It was almost tedious to watch. The crew is not the brightest, which is one of the things that makes it difficult to sit through. Still, they polished it up really nice and shiny.

    Left me wanting...

    Pros: It was entertaining, had good visuals, continued the story line, and good believable acting. Cons: The story could have been better written, and more believable. Characters made stupid decisions, that hurt the legitimacy (interrupting the flow of the movie), conflicted with the professionalism, logical course of the storyline, and it's believability. It could have been so much more. The writers, directors, and producers sold the movie short of its greatness! Fell short for me, left me wanting more, and a better ending. Disapointed!
