Yose electric bike conversion
I am delighted with my YOSE electric bike conversion kit. I fitted it myself in less than 3 hours. The instructions along with the on-line video made it very straight forward to fit. They even supply the socket for removing the freehub from the wheel and a set of allen keys.
In case you don't spot it, the controller is built into the battery holder now so that part will be missing from the box. This also means the bag is not required. I have still put the bag on my bike as it is handy for carrying items such as a couple of plastic bags and elastic bands as you may need them to cover the screen and accelerator as these are not waterproof if you are caught out in the rain. The bag could be also used for carrying puncture repair kit etc.
A couple of tips I can give are.
1) My bike did not have the bolts on the frame for a water bottle so I had to drill 3 holes for the battery holder. I just had to pay a few £'s for a pack of M5 RIVNUTs and some M5 screws and £15 for a RIVNUT insertion tool. Don't try the method on YOUTUBE that says you can install the RIVNUTS without the tool. It doesn't work.
2) when putting on the _PAS disc on the pedal shaft and PAS monitor on the frame add some clear plumbers gold sealant to hold them in place. Leave overnight and this will help to hold them in place.
3) I had to move the spacing nut from the non freewheel side of the axle to the freewheel side to stop the cogs from pressing against the bike frame.
