what a brilliant old LP only excellent all the way through, remember some cats at Oasis wanting to compare them to The Chords, but we're older then and we liked The Chords

The seminal album of the Mod revival. The excitement of our belonging. The betterment of our predecessors. This is what the revival was all about. We are the Mods and we take No shit.

For all you forty something out there who were into the Mod revival of the late seventies and early eighties this album is pure nostalgic gold. The raw sound of the Rickenbacker 330 intro into Maybe Tomorrow is still mind blowing after twenty odd years. The lyrics still scream good times, sharp clothes and Bank holiday scooter rallies. If you're looking for an album to take you back to your teens then this is it, and if you're a teen now then give it a try and see how close to the current Indie sound The Chords were.
I had this in the original vinyl version when it was first released. Loved it then and love it now. Very similar in style to The Jam but maybe not just as powerful, particularly in the lyrics but an excellent album all the same. If you like The Jam you'll like this.
