Fred Kelly Deleon Speed Thumb Picks
I’ve used these exclusively for close to 15 years. I use the white heavy style. Early on I tried the medium weight and found they did not stay on well but that problem doesn’t exist with the heavy weight. You will not truly find them to be heavy per se as are some other picks. The picking surface slides effortlessly over the string and I think matches the sound that my natural nails on my fingers make better that any other thumb pick. I sometimes trim the length of the picking surface back just slightly which seems to match the angle of attack I use.I’ve used these exclusively for close to 15 years. I use the white heavy style. MR. KELLY'S SPEED PICKS
I tried these a long time ago, when I was building a collection to select from. Nothing fancy or shinny, just great control and light. I like the way the white (heavy) stays on and allows me to control my attack without anything extra to get in my way. Both, on the up stroke and down stroke, these picks work great. I suppose I could get the standard Delrin Picks and file them down, but why? There ready to use, right out of the box! The lighter gauges don't hold on as well but these stay where they're supposed to. I use them on guitar, uke, and banjo and would recommend them to anyone that uses finger picks.I tried these a long time ago, when I was building a collection to select from.
