I’ve been using Tamiya’s white primer for many years now. I’ve tried other primers, but I get the best results with this product. It creates a smooth finish and helps with the following colors and coats of paint. I think It works best in conjunction with Tamiya’s acrylic paint, but that’s just my opinion. I really like the finish. I highly recommend all Tamia products, not just their paint.

Tamiya's fine primer is a very high quality primer that goes on and dries evenly. It promotes great top coat shinability and adherence, easy to sand if needed.

The primer works very well on plastic surfaces but not so well on aluminum like the aluminum barrel on the tanks I build. I would use a Rust-oleum primer on aluminum parts and the Tamiya fine primer on plasic. Overall, this is a great product on plastic.

Tamiya fine white primer is a very high-quality product that is in a pressurized can with a good tip that dispenses in a smooth, fine mist that results in an excellent surface finish. (some light sanding with 600 grit wet/dry automotive sanding may be desirable for a smoother finish.
