Freezer door now closing as it should!
For some time now the freezer door on my Dometic motorhome fridge was not closing. Although not immediately apparent, it was not until I removed the old hinges that I could see that the plastic used for the hinges both had deteriorated over time (some 16 years!) Both hinges were cracked which meant that the springs on each hinge were not held securely, suffice to say the freezer door would not close. I looked on YouTube where there are several videos covering this problem and subsequent repair which are very helpful. If you are reasonably proficient in DIY, then it is worth a go. Otherwise your local caravan /motorhome outlet should quickly manage what is a relatively straightforward and common fix. Worked a treat
A very good product cures an apparent common problem in the fridges. Although no instructions it was easy to find a tutorial on YouTube to fit the hinges. They work a treat no more bits of cardboard wedging it shut as has been the norm for the last 18 months The hinges seem to be good quality of course time will tell.
