If you liked the film you will love the book. More complex and less sugary characters of course. Diverse group of characters drawn together in later life, (mostly,) through a retirement home in India, their true natures and pasts are gradually revealed through their responses to major changes in their lives. A well written, gentle read for the most part, (but not too gentle).
