DARK SHADOW's Director Dan Curtis' STRANGE CASE OF DR. JEKYLL & MR. HYDE remains THE GOLD STANDARD for the portrayal of Robert Louis Stevenson's Classic. Jack Palance's Dual Identities capture the total package of Good Vs. Evil personalities at War & in conflict. Only Spencer Tracy's Jekyll/Hyde can rival Palace's performance and Curtis' storytelling. If you think I'm "Hyping Up" those 2 Jekyll/Hyde's over HAMMER'S attempt, it's because I AM! "The 2 Faces of Dr. Jekyll" needs plastic surgery. You wouldn't care about EITHER Character. Arguably THE WORST of the Jekyll & Hyde attempts.

The Gorgon! and Curse of the Mummy's Tomb! Were the Best of the Five! Gorgon was the Best One! Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll Was The Worst One! A Total Train Wreck! Although Christopher Lee and Oliver Reed Did Help as Band-Aids For this movie! Lee Playing A Third Banana In Credits and Reed Not even Credited! It's A Total Shame that two classic Horror Greats couldn't have had the starring and co star roles. After seeing Reed in previous performances, Jekyll and Hyde would have fit him perfect Instead and Lee as his rival. Glad to see both of them finally in a movie together. Just wish that Reed Could of had a bigger part and could of seen him and Lee totally together and for a little longer!

Classic Hammer Horror. Not sophisticated by today's standards, but worth a look anyway, if for nothing else than the casting ensemble. These are professional 'players' and it shows. The copies of each film are ok and are good enough to enjoy without distractions of sound distortions or too much of a smeary picture look.

This DVD set contains some of the most difficult and hard to find rare movies released by Hammer in the 1960's. The quality of the prints are excellent and very reasonable in price. For Hammer Horror fans this is a must have to complete your library. Fun to watch over and over again and even your adult children will collect them to watch and enjoy for many years.
