    Great birding book

Excellent format. Traditional bird books group according to species, this one groups according to size, shape and colour which when you are staring at a bird through a pair of binoculars makes a lot more sense! For example, it puts together all the little brown birds in one place! Wish I'd found this year's ago.

  • Clear with some surprises

Surprised to find avocet not in it except in the RSPB logo. A common bird in this area, distinctive and easy for my 5 year old to spot compared to grey waders. Several rare visitors included instead; talking point but for me, not needed in a first ID field guide.

  • That's definitely a Mistle Thrush!

A really good guide for the new/amateur bird watcher. Incredibly detailed pictures and an "easy find" section to give you a good idea what you are looking at. Bought this as a present but might have to get myself a copy. Highly recommended.

  • Fantastic boik

Delivered on time. Packaged well. Brilliant book. Great way to study birds, as the coloured pictures are very good and explains well for each bird. Good quality book and I would highly recommend this book.

  • Happy with the book.

I bought 2 of these books and gave them to my 2 sets of grandchildren. They had a competition as to who could identify the most birds in their gardens. A nice little book that you can also carry around on walks.
