    Intel is the leader in server and desktop processors.

    These processors are an emergency replacement to the 3.06 Xeons that were in my Dell PE 2850. I'm using VMWare 4.1 x64 and have about a 5% decrease in performance upon installing these. (not that bad, considering I spent less than 20$ for two of these guys.) That was the second set of 3.06 Xeons that I had lost from two different servers.... Temperatures run about 5 degrees F higher than before and the fans blow a little louder. (Mainboard temp went from 72 degrees F to 77 degrees F.)

    Outdated processors still work fine!

    awesome item! running two of them in my home server. albeit a bit outdated, they work perfectly! another excellent intel product, i would never buy anything else.
