Wanna Date????
This is not a great film or even an illuminating one for that matter, but it never intended to be one! As far as story-lines go Frankenhooker's is somewhat lop-sided, but it does have its own internally driven logic: how else could you explain the super-crack, the mis-aligned body-parts and, of course, the drill. Be warned, this movie has more exploding hookers than you can shake a rotisserie at. And, along with its many other visual treats, there is a low-budget, sci-fi laboratory (with the obligatory Vander-Graf generators buzzing away in all their glorious sparkery) for us to feast our eyes and ears on. Trust me, this film truly ranks up there with 'Young Frankenstein' for cheap techno-gimmick ingenuity: and the lab itself also double budgets ... This is not a great film or even an illuminating one for that matter, but it never intended to be one! This film is, indeed, grand fromage of the highest order! If you're not laughing its because you're watching it the wrong way. Its obvious, early & often, that most of the cast involved have never acted before (and, thankfully, some never again), but this actually works in its favor because they don't try to 'act'. Patty Mullen, as Elizabeth Shelley, delivers an honest piece of work precisely because of the fact she doesn't try to be something she is not - an experienced actor playing a challenging role. On the other hand, James Lorinz, (Jeffery Franken) intentionally plays it so close to the vest you can see the straight-jacket peeking out from underneath (he's not great here, but his choices are fairly solid throughout). But, by far the best performance is from David Lipman (Frankenhooker's trick) in a tour-de-force display of upstagemanship: not only does he steal every scene he's in, he virtually chews through every stitch of upholstery along the way - and its truly a joy to watch. Nonetheless, Jennifer Delora (Angel) deserves special mention for being the glue that holds it all together; who needs to act when you've got a role this familiar and this much fun to play! Make no mistake about it, Frankenhooker is not a great film, but it is brilliant one in its own right!

So bad it's good.
I love this movie,it the classic example of 80's over the top low budget horror.If you like campy movies you will like this one.The plot is simple,the acting not the best.Iy is a great movie to watch with friends so you you can make wise ass remarks about it,the kind of movie mistery science theater 3000 used to show.If your looking for a serious film pass this by,but if you just want a fun,campy,shlock fest pick it up.I love this movie,it the classic example of 80's over the top low budget horror.If you like campy movies you will like this one.The plot is simple,the acting not the best.Iy is a great movie to watch with friends so you you can make wise ass remarks about it,the kind of movie mistery science theater 3000 used to show.If your looking for a serious film pass this by,but if you just want a fun,campy,shlock fest pick it up.

Very sick,demented humor. Disgusting sex scenes and graphic violence. All done in a bad B horror movie tounge in cheek way. We rate this among the greats: Rocky Picture Horror Show, The Evil Dead Trilogy, and Hotel Hell. If you don't find this hilarious then you need to go to YOUR local hooker and have your funny bone tweeked. L.O.L.

It is nice to see freedom and street reality in a movie
In a land ruled by conservatives it is a breath of fresh air to see the lack of censorship this dvd exhibits. So many blurays are so censored, edited, dubbed and scenes cut I may just stick with regular DVDs. This is truly a "guy" movie it's great and I recommend it to people with a true sense of humor.
