    • Uncle Tom's Cabin is a great book which everyone should read.

This book is a must read for this generation's school children. The book popularized a number of sterotypes about black people. These include the affectionate, dark-skinned "mammy", the "pickaninny" sterotype of black children and the "Uncle Tom" or dutiful, long-suffering servant faithful to his white master or mistress.
