    they have improved a lot "after" this CD

    I've got their latest album and realy love it. When I found this older one of theirs I was realy keen to listen to it, but was very disapointed.

    The Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control

    A very good album, that has a lot more going for it than just the mighty title track. Ten strong tracks and no filler add up to a gem of an album. Beth Ditto, if you can put her appeareances in the media to one side, has an excellent voice and puts the likes of Duffy and Adele to shame. Well worth a listen, and buying if you can.

    Good Album

    Love 80% of the tunes after listening once so can't be bad. bought it because i love the tune standing in the way of control, reminds me of going to a festival, you will not be dissapointed.

    The Gossip - Standing In The Way Of Control (CD 2006)

    A truly dreadful album. Mundane and tuneless. Standing in the way of control is the ONLY half decent track on there and even that isn't great. Don't buy it !!
