I bought this for a Japanese computer I just bought for use in the USA. In the USA, we have 110-120V, but in Japan, they use 100V. It's pretty close, but this computer is a vintage item from the 1980's, so I did not want to put strain on it. If you're using a higher voltage, it will generate more heat. The alternatives on Amazon were all made is China, and while it's possible to get good stuff from China, I was worried they had junk capacitors and other parts in there as most Chinese manufacturers just want to make the quick buck and don't care about quality and longevity. I feel that Japanese manufacturers, on the other hand, care about making something well that will last. I ordered from a seller in Japan, and amazingly, it shipped and arrive to my home in the USA within a week! ... I bought this for a Japanese computer I just bought for use in the USA. Works as expected
I use it primarily for imported PS2 and Saturn. It's a bit larger and heavier than I expected and feel sturdy. Made in Japan. I can't imagine encountering any problems with it for my use. Just wish they came with at least two outlets since my devices require very low wattage.

Small, light and works well.
My is permanently connected to the socket. For many hours my load is about 120W. It works stably and does not heat up at all. The conclusion that it is of good quality and perfectly fulfills its function. If you need 120V then 100V and around 200W the Nissyo Industrial DN-103 will be an excellent choice.

Bought this for a Japanese turntable. With a Grado Red cartridge, and a vintage Sumo Athena preamp, there was a barely audible hissing, which "pumped" like the sound of waves on a beach, but much faster. This went away after a couple days being on constantly. Well made, measures well when loaded.
