lead does work could do with on off switch as kills bike battery after 2 days (without zumo attached ) cant wire to ignition live straight to battery so have to pull fuse . hopefully will last longer than original lead 9 months

Poor Design, Extortionate Price.
It works fine up to a point, but isn't particularly robust - particularly at the sprung 'pogo pin' contacts where a sat nav connects. And the price is an absurd rip-off, as is the case with all Garmin spares and accessories. Unfortunately, there are no alternatives available when it breaks, so take great care in use, ALWAYS remember to put the rubber cap over the pins when not in use, and mind you don't break off the small plastic 'fin' between the pins. I regularly lubricate those pins with silicone grease.It works fine up to a point, but isn't particularly robust - particularly at the sprung 'pogo pin' contacts where a sat nav connects. Having problems connecting cable with unit.
I have arranged for Phoenix Motorcycles of Trowbridge to replace my old cable for the new one, but we are having problems in trying to get the cable to connect to the unit. Seems the two pins are not connect ting with the terminals on the unit. The bike is going back in tomorrow to see if they can fix the problem.

Contacts corrode
If you have one of these charger cables and are crossing seas on open ferries , cover contacts with petroleum jelly or a plastic bag , as salt water loves to eat the 2 little contacts . I found this out 2 days after a crossing .
