    For the serious musician.

    The ergo play 'Tappert' classical guitar support is not a gimmicky add on gismo but a carefully thought out and practical answer to the problems of lower back injury caused by the traditional use of varying height footstools. It's a boon to the serious player of classical guitar because it helps the guitarists posture to assume a natural, comfortable playing position that allows for a freedom of movement and artistic expression that hitherto was difficult to achieve. One of the best guitar supports I've ever used.

    Great engineering but an overkill to hold the guitar

    The support is large. I had tried the Troster but that must be made for a giant. So I brought this model. It still is pretty large, has a huge leg rest. I have the guitar nut level with my shoulder but the adjustment is at its lowest setting, so the effect is to sit the guitar at a high level. It is also heavy as an attachment to the guitar. I have resorted to a footrest instead which works well and enables me to cradle the guitar more. In summation I would say well engineered, but made for a tall person.

    Much better than footstools

    This is my second ergo play rest. Keeps a good playing position especially if playing for long periods. Check your height before purchase. These tend to be better for taller people (I am 6ft.).The support is bulky to transport but this out - ways the comfort and advantage of a good playing position. Check out You Tube videos on usage.

    Good if carefully used

    It works in its primary role of keeping the guitar in a good playing position without strain. An unexpected bonus I found was that my performance improved almost immediately. I think the insecurity of using the footstool was impairing my playing. The suction cups have a tendency to come off so you have to check they are secure before use.
