They are ok. They are dipped closed so the tip is plain metal. Only used some of them once and the paint has started to come off one of them. Don’t think it would hurt the yarn.At least I hope not. If I bought any more I would go for the plain silver or gold ones. They are good for fine work as they are light weight and would not pull on the yarn.
